'Pahadi pe ped tha'
This work is an ode to my college days when we were actively involved in Street Plays. Everyday, we used to leave our homes, get in the most accessible mode of transportation available to any of us and set out for new college festivals, who hosted tournaments for these plays. The hustle behind the show that we put up was the adrenaline that helped us to set out the next day. The phrase 'Pahadi pe Ped tha' is a voice exercise the team used to carry out before the performance. This became our war cry every time we entered the arena.
This piece is angled from above as our eyes were always aiming high and we were determined for ambitious things. Glorifying the humble beginnings we all had, the shot is perspectively deterministic of the 'eyes always on the throne, no matter what' attitude that our team carried.
